A Reminder...
First off, thank you so very much to all of you who contribute thoughtful comments to this page. You make my life and this blog a work of joy. That said, this blog is not a public bulletin board or soap box for every disaffected crank to post on. Sorry if that sounds harsh. I have had (until today) only a very few posts that were clearly inappropriate. But I feel that this is a good time to remind everyone that the basic rules of civil discourse apply here. Debate issues not personalities. Debate vigorously if you feel so called, but not personally. Ad Hominum attacks are not allowed. Your blog master is in every sense a social reactionary and a creature of another era. So the bottom line is this. If you are posting something that might in a more civilized age have resulted in an early morning meeting over coffee and pistols, please refrain from doing so.
Yours
Ad Orientem
