Fr. David Thatcher (my parish priest and an occasional contributor to this blog) pointed me to a magnificent lecture by Fr Meletios (Webber) given at the Diocesan Assembly (OCA Diocese of the West). I strongly recommend it to all.
What a truly blessed priest is Fr. Meletios! His talk cut to the quick for me, helping to realize that I am not my thoughts unless I make the decision to be them. Metania is in fact the expansion of the nous or heart to receive the vision offered by our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ.
