Oh great more fuel for protestants. For the record I do not "worship" St. Patrick. I have great respect for him as he glorifies God. But worship, never.
It isn't the first time I have heard we worship saints. If I had a dime for every time I heard someone Orthodox use the word worship I would be doing okay, if I had a dime for every time a Roman Catholic uses worship in regard to the Theotokos I would be rich.
Is this the result of poor teaching or people not listening to the teaching?
David,
The source is a Russian news service. I think this can be chalked up to a rather imperfect command of English on the part of the translator who is likely also unaware of the penchant among Protestants for seizing on a given word in an effort to cast doubt on the Orthodox Faith.
Christ is risen!
