PHOENIX — Arizona lawmakers want more fence along the border with Mexico — whether the federal government thinks it's necessary or not.Read the rest here.
They've got a plan that could get a project started using online donations and prison labor. If they get enough money, all they would have to do is get cooperation from landowners and construction could begin as soon as this year.
Gov. Jan Brewer recently signed a bill that sets the state on a course that begins with launching a website to raise money for the work, said state Sen. Steve Smith, the bill's sponsor.

I'd donate to have the entire Failed State of Arizona walled off from the civilised world.
Why not the Failed State of Mexico?
Less bricks, worse food.
I keep hearing about the southern portion of the state wishing to secede and make the 51st state of "Baja Arizona". Here's to them. Then maybe the people in northern Arizona will quit bitching about sharing such a large border with Mexico.
Why should we dignify them with statehood? They can join Mexico.
I think you guys messed up stealing Arizona from Mexico in the first place. You should see if they'll take it back as "Damaged Goods".
Yes. And the Spaniards messed up stealing it from the Apaches and Navajo and using it as a dumping ground for their Aztec underclass ever since. Not that anybody breaks out the sackcloth and ashes over that.
Oh I dunno. I'd say there's more than enough anti-Spanish and anti-Aztec resentment amongst the Apache and the Navajo, (just try celebrating Columbus Day or Día de los Muertos in Monument Valley) but to see that in person would mean risking crossing into the FSoA, which I would only recommend to the heavily bullet proofed and the lily white.
Sounds like the Navajo and Apache have come to recognize the sheer idiocy and/or self-loathing nihilism of open borders.
8 comments without the nativist border stump speech. I'd say we're progressing.
Yes, on to other topics, like how well Jewish immigration to the West Bank is working out. Or the incredible success of Tunisian immigration to Lampedusa.
