Sunday of Orthodoxy
Just got back from a trip into the city (San Francisco) to attend the Triumph of Orthodoxy liturgy at the Russian Cathedral on Geary St. It was deeply moving though I understood very little of the actual words, they being in Slavonic. It may also be a day or two before my legs fully recover. Had a delicious vegetarian supper at a Chinese joint before catching the train back to where I had parked my car. All in all a great day.
I know that cathedral well. As a child I visited and also have vivid memories of going to Fort Ross when I was quite, quite young. I knew nothing about Orthodoxy and wouldn't for several decades after, but those memories do stand out.
