I'm not sure what the author of the review was expecting. The UGCC is not Orthodox, after all, so why should we expect that its catechism reflect Orthodox theology?
Actually, in the UGCC there are those who are more "Eastern" and would like the UGCC to become more Orthodox. This is a phenomenon that is more seen overseas than in Ukraine from what I hear.
