The post is indeed amusing, but the comment section is truly disheartening, with so many pro-Putin comments. I say “Pro-Putin” deliberately. I have no special relationship to Russia, never been there (though I’d love to see Moscow), but I’ve always loved what little of Russian culture I could access, mostly literature in translation, their stunning musical heritage and ballet. I will never hate Russia, but when I see Putin, reputedly the richest man in the world, apparently not satisfied with what he has, slaughtering innocents, destroying the meager possessions of millions, reducing cities to rubble, I wonder how we allowed all that power to devolve upon one single ruthless, selfish and cruel human being.
I concur. And I also noticed the Kremlin's internet trolls were busy there. I don't spend that much time reading TAC, but I hope it isn't some Putinist propaganda organ.
