Republicans are not good on the economy, they are good for businesses looking to what’s in their own interests. Not that of the country, our friends or the world, and not the macroeconomy. Business interests is not the same as the economy. They have been fretting about welfare, debt, and deficits for decades when tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy are our largest welfare program. Republicans sneer at Keynesian spending but force the military to buy more and other than what it wants because of political pork. Military spending is the only Keynesian spending they believe in. And to all that the need to put all that good stuff to work to prove how tough they are when their economic policies and culture war distractions cease working, and we inevitably wag the dog to distracts us while claiming high ideals the rest of the world sees for it is. Every vote for Republican since at least 2004 is the cause of everything we see now.
