It's not a big surprise. But it is still one of those moments where at the risk of triumphalism I just want to scream "THANK GOD I AM ORTHODOX!!!"
For our Anglican brothers and sisters who have had enough; the welcome mat is out and we are leaving the light on for you.

Practical issues aside (as you described in an earlier thread), I wish the Orthodox would somehow reach out to the faithful who have just been read out of their church. What a powerful opportunity, if only there were a way to seize it - and these people are hurting. They need the safe harbor of the Church.
Yes, Anglocatholics need the safe harbor of the Church, but not the Orthodox Churches. Anglicans are westerners and so far the Orthodox have shown themselves to be overbearingly ethnically defined even here in the West. Also, Orthodox jurisdictions are not united in their opinion on Western Rite Orthodoxy, either.
But Orthodox problems aside, for Anglocatholics, Rome is their natural mother and the Church with which they have always had affinity.
But, alas, it is impossible to know now how this might unfold or even if there is a likelihood of it. Despite the protestations of Anglocatholics that they are indeed Catholic, I am suspicious of this claim. I believe them to be theologically Protestant if liturgically Catholic-like. In the end it will be difficult for many Anglocatholics to become Catholics, and if so, it will be even more difficult for them to become Orthodox.

Some of your points are fair and in fact I made many of them myself in a previous post which can be found here. http://tinyurl.com/5fvym8
I am not entirely sure I can agree with your comment about the overbearing part which I think is a little snarky. If by that you mean we expect the converts to embrace the faith in its entirety, I would expect no less of Rome.
