His Holiness has reposed at the age of 79. May his memory be eternal!

A tiny nitpick: His given name was Alexei (also transliterated Alexey), but when he became patriarch he changed his name to Alexy (also transliterated as Alexiy and Alexii). To use the former spelling in conjunction with the title Patriarch is like referring to the Bishop of Rome as Pope Ratzinger.

Another nitpick: All-Holiness is the style only of the Ecumenical Patriarch. The Muscovite Patriarchate is simply Holiness.

(Although, for some reason I cannot fathom, Muscovite clergy always removed the All- when addressing the EP.)

The corrections above are noted and appreciated. I will fix the text.

Patriarch Alexis was a hard working labourer in Christ's vineyard. May his memory be eternal!
