It's heeeere....

Our home has its first confirmed case of the Swine Flue (H1N1 aka Mexican Influenza). So far I am fine. Last spring I had a nasty case of influenza that lasted about 10 days and stretched through Holy Week. I suspect that may have been the same thing and am hoping I have some immunity. Fingers crossed. Prayers are coveted and appreciated.

My goodness! I hope it's all done and over with in no time. Please be assured of my prayers!

I heard a lady on a local protestant radio station telling people not to get the H1N1 vaccine because she heard of "Coast to Coast", a radio program that fosters a conspiracy behind everything (UFO's, Bigfoot, Yeti, etc) that the H1N1 vaccine is the mark of the Beast. The host of the Christian show, a pastor, tried so hard to assure people that it wasn't without out and out calling the woman nuts. I hope all is well in your house hold soon.

I have the flu, though I don't know which brand. I am not a happy camper, although my students are, no doubt.

My wife, a pharmacist, shared with me a story told by one of her colleagues: Seems one patient, reading about H1N1, misread those pesky "1's" and asked the pharmacist, "Do you have the shots for that Hiney virus?"

Regardless, you have my prayers, John.
