Honestly, how hard would it be for the Holy Synods of our various jurisdictions to just say to their respective flocks, "Okay, people, *this* is our policy." Instead, we have local priests trying to give their various interpretations of what *ought* to be done, parishioners sneaking to do something else, and the integrity of the first part of the Nativity fast is obliterated. Hey, while they're at it, perhaps they could also establish some liturgical texts appropriate to the day.
Nice :-).
ReplyDeleteYet another reason to be on the Old Calendar.
ReplyDeleteTom

ReplyDeleteHan, tofu is not plausible meat. :)
ReplyDeletes-p,
