Irascible, heavy-handed +Phillip has been proved right every time.

Here's an interview with +Phillip from 2010 regarding the EA. The old boy was in fine fettle that day.

The Antiochian bishops have been boycotting the episcopal assembly in South America for over a year now--- there are more Orthodox Christians from Syria/Lebanon/Palestine in Brazil, Argentina and Chile than in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine combined (once we include the Maronite diaspora, actually more Latin American Christians of Arab descent than the current Muslim population of those countries) and more than of all the other Orthodox groups in that region combined.

The diaspora-- in the sense of the communities of relatively recent, reluctant emigrants-- is very important to Antioch right now and its importance to Antioch cannot be underestimated.

It's little loss to the EA when some anxious bachelors in too many layers of clothes jump whenever Philip tells them to. When they *get* bishops maybe then they can assemble. How pathetic, how gutless.
