KABUL, Afghanistan — Thousands of demonstrators angered over the burning of a Koran in Florida mobbed offices of the United Nations in northern Afghanistan on Friday, overrunning the compound and killing at least seven foreign staff workers, according to Afghan officials.Read the rest here.
There were conflicting reports on the total number of people killed and whether two of the victims had been beheaded. Five Afghans were also reported killed.
The incident began when thousands of protesters poured out of the Blue Mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif after Friday prayers and attacked the nearby headquarters of the United Nations, according to Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, spokesman for Gen. Daoud Daoud, the Afghan National Police commander for northern Afghanistan.
After disarming or shooting the United Nations compound’s guards, the crowd surged inside. Mr. Ahmadzai said that eight of the foreign staff workers, whose nationalities were not known immediately, were killed by gunfire, and that two others were captured by the mob and beheaded. Other reports said that the operations center was burned down as well.

You gotta love a religion that goes after innocent people for a 'crime' that had nothing to do with. They don't understand, freedom of religion, they don't understand American laws and in response, I'd say let's nuke this town as payback.
What a bunch of idiots!
Most importantly Matt I would say that they do not understand who God is!

Indeed, Nikolaus. And let us pray that God will reveal Himself to them, and that they will become faithful and obedient followers of Jesus Christ.

Mr Curmudgeon proposes genocide and the christian commenters following him, instead of speaking out against the atrocity start exchanging amens. Maybe I was wrong to have criticised Christopher Hitchens.
Mr. Curmudgeon was obviously being sarcastic.
Were armies using Mr Curmudgeon's logic not involved in atrocities in the muslim world, his comment might have had some element of sarcastic irony. The comments that followed did not address his comment's implicit "humour" or explicit homicide. Then we wonder why muslims have a twisted vision of Christianity.
