Ron Paul wins Nevada and Maine

A majority of delegates from Nevada and Maine to the national GOP convention will be Ron Paul supporters. Dr. Paul's campaign effectively took over the state GOP conventions in both states. In caucus states the popular vote is essentially a non-binding beauty contest with the actual election of delegates being done by more complicated methods often with many or all of the delegates being named by the state convention.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney's campaign has indicated it will attempt to disqualify the Maine delegates and the RNC has threatened to bar the Nevada delegation from the national convention if it is dominated by Paul supporters. Additionally Romney's campaign has announced they will attempt to disqualify a number of Paul delegates from Massachusetts.  Ron Paul looks likely to have a majority of delegates from several other states including Minnesota, Louisiana and Iowa. Several more states are considered vulnerable to a take over of their state delegations by Ron Paul supporters.
