Orthodoxy and Catholicism

The Young Fogey has been putting up a series of posts on the Orthodox vs Catholicism debate. Some of them are quite interesting. You may have to scroll down on his blog to catch the earlier ones. I meant to bump this earlier but Holy Week was not the time for that kind of discussion.

Thank heavens we can finally resolve a 1,000 year long schism through the medium of blogs and comment boxes. If only they had had that sort of technology at the Council of Florence or the Second Council of Lyon.

Or, in other words . . . here we go again, folks, another waste of time.

Following up on Fr. Benedict's comments, and I am repeating myself, but let us Orthodox patch our own tents; then we can start to think about talking about ecumenicism.

Since our respective religions are mutually exclusive, ecumenism is dead in the water.
