Trouble in Socialist Paradise

First milk, butter, coffee and cornmeal ran short. Now Venezuela is running out of the most basic of necessities — toilet paper.

Blaming political opponents for the shortfall, as it does for other shortages, the embattled socialist government says it will import 50 million rolls to boost supplies.

That was little comfort to consumers struggling to find toilet paper on Wednesday.

I would just like to say well done to my vast right wing co-conspirators who secretly bought up all of Venezuela's TP just to make the lefties look bad.

A dire situation. Doubtless some hoarders are sitting on a pile of TP.

Given how recently (as such things go) it was invented, shouldn't TP be considered a bourgeois luxury and banned by the lefties, anyway?

Do they have phone books in Venezuela? My grandmother said when they were too poor to get TP in the hills of Mississippi, they would tear pages out of the phone book. Make sure you rub them together to soften them up!
