Rumor: Former Met Jonah released to ROCOR

No sources are cited but Joseph over at Byzantine Texas is well connected and doesn't have a track record of posting inaccurate reports. Assuming this is true, I can't say I am surprised.

A transfer to ROCOR would be far more productive than jawboning the OCA into giving up autocephaly.

I hope +Jonah is doing well. I'm not OCA, but he seemed like a good albeit inexperienced bishop of the Church.

Re: autocephaly, the OCA needs to do some reaching out to the Patriarchates on that issue, because nobody is acting like they have it.

A-G, below the highest Patriarchal levels, the Greek clergy and laity are drifting way from the traditional view of the OCA as "the Russian Church".

On another note, I'm gratified to see photos of a Liturgy in the Wren Building. Almost makes me want to return...except that W&M is one of those piggy Va. educational institutions that despises my gun permit.
