A US priest, himself part of the EP, feels that Patriarch Bartholomew has gone too far to back out now.
Boris - he either has to stand down or follow this path where it leads. Most of us don't like eating crow and Patriarchs are no exception.
Is there a link to this priest's reflections?
It's been posted in Greek, Russian and Ukrainian. Links are in the article. If there is an English translation, I haven't seen it.
I'm not outing this priest. I respect his privacy. It may be that he is awaiting the death of his elderly father, a cleric of the same jurisdiction. It may be that he is waiting for a definite "anathema" to be pronounced against the EP.
