True indeed. However, it is very likely not an authentic piece from the Episcopal "church."

Yeah, well, all except for the fine print...

I think the grinning guy with the martini is the clue that this is a spoof. Since when are the vintage 70's-80's 'ladies man' type of male a particular concern of the TEC?

It's very well done, it momentarily fooled many, being roundly condemned by conservative and some not so conservative TEC priests/members, and apparently is being joyfully passed around facebook by some on the liberal side.

This is also excellent, though I don't remember the "special offer" when I first saw this image. See http://www.queerty.com/wp/docs/2009/07/the_episcopal_church1.png

Anonymous,
The martini glass may be a reference to TEC never being big on the whole Temperance movement. To their credit, they were one of only two Protestant denominations that refused to back Prohibition.

Thankfully, now a distant memory for me and I have no regrets as I grow in faith.

Yeah, this is a spoof. The picture of the woman priest is from an Almy Ecclesiatical Vestments catalog from last year. Ironically, she's not even a priest, but a model.
