I am not sure when I have read such a near unbroken string of breathtakingly ignorant comments before. Well... actually a lot of the "Birther" threads over at Free Republic were also pretty much outside the plane of existence inhabited by rational people. But this is still really bad. These people just have no concept of "freedom of religion."

True, John. Have watched the education of the next four generations of my family - mostly in California public schools. Very few of them have any serious understanding of the Constitution. Those in school now are getting a scarily revisionist view of American history. Bill, tGf
Are you referring to the "pro" or "con" statements?
Both are wonderful examples of ignorance.
As for the Constitution, ignorance of it is across the political spectrum.
Well, is it any wonder when virtually the entire judiciary over the past several decades interprets "religious freedom" solely as freedom from religion?

I am not a Calvinist, but if I were, I would be very tempted to simply point people to reader comments like this to prove notion of total depravity.
