Old Calendarist "Milan Synod" disbands - Appeals to Moscow for reconcilliation

I don't follow the convoluted and thoroughly byzantine (pun intended) Old Calendarist world, so apologies for missing this late July news. But I think it is significant. Details may be read here including the letter of repentance from their hierarchs to Patriarch Kyrill.

Disclaimer: The linked website is affiliated with the Old Calendarist movement and therefor schismatic.

Praise be to God! May the Church re-welcome them into Her bosom speedily and may they find the repentence and love that they so desire.

The preparations for this have been rather long-term. I hope given how long former Metropolitan Eulogius and Archbishop Abbundius have been working on this that the Moscow Patriarchate will be merciful in receiving them...

Boy, is the Church going to receive a lot of 8-ball clerics if they aren't awfully careful. They should NOT, NOT, ** NOT ** take the whole thing (if they do) in one gulp. Kick lots of tires. Lots more than when groups like the Order Of Mans was blindly welcomed in by the OCA some years ago. Let's hope Moscow can use some sense and brakes. Show how it ought to be done in the best interest of the whole Church, not a handful of clergy.
