An illegal immigrant seeking admission to the Florida bar has met its requirements to become a lawyer, the bar said in a filing this week to the Florida Supreme Court in a case being watched closely by both sides of the immigration debate.Read the rest here.
Jose Godinez-Samperio is one of a few illegal immigrants in different states trying to get law licenses after passing the local bar’s two-pronged test: an exam and a moral character review.
Godinez-Samperio passed the exam portion of the test last year, and he was notified recently that nothing in his background would be considered “disqualifying” for the character portion. That notice was cited Monday in legal correspondence posted on the Florida court’s website.

The US government devotes billions of dollars not to protecting the nation's territorial and cultural integrity, but to forcing acceptance of immigrants on the extant population. Unless the Florida Supreme Court raises the obvious point that Godinez-Samperio has no more rights than a trespasser, congratulations to the newest member of the Florida Bar.
If the preference is for "open" borders, dismantle the government and return immigration to its prior regime of contract and private property. Nobody will advocate this option because then no Big Daddy government to socialize the costs.
Good, being an illegal immigrant is about as immoral and disrespectful of the law as speeding.
Immigration laws are unenforced because the 'job creators' want it so.
By now it should be a foregone conclusion that neither major political party has any intention of actually stopping illegal immigration to the US. I personally believe that the long-term goal of the power elite is to "level the playing field", so that the US/Mexico/Canada are all eventually living at the same *low* standard of living. I actually don't even think most politicians in the US government have as much clout to sway public policy as we might wish they did. I feel most of them are just pawns in this, as we are. International Marxism, anyone?
