An elderly Chicago lady recently claimed, “If Jesus Christ were alive today, he would be ordaining women.”
To which I replied, “Jesus Christ is alive today, and he is not doing it.”

To the lady: The Episcopal Church welcomes you. On signs all over America. The pews are not crowded, you may sit anywhere. You will find perfect agreement with everyone, happy trails.
