It looks like the council is now on life support.

At first I was excited about the council, but I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that our Church is so divided in earthly terms that our bishops can't even gather in the same room together.
solzemli - It's not that they hate or are repulsed by each other, so do not let that trouble your spirit. It's that the lens through which they viewed the Kingdom of God on Earth, the Roman/Byzantine Empire, is gone and after 650 years they still have no idea what to replace it with.
Well said!
560 years would be more accurate than "650 years".
Now, it seems that the Serbians aren't coming either. http://www.interfax-religion.com/?act=news&div=13008
Wow
Without Antioch = not a valid council.
Nothing in it will be accepted if it goes ahead without us.
