Licking the flag pole on a day when the temperature is below freezing, riding the grocery store cart down the bank from the parking lot, or supergluing one's face to a street sign are never ever good ideas, but they are the kinds of things that youth love to venture into.
Those of us who have had experience in military leadership understand these urges & know how to use them to win battles. But, they are also the reasons that I think lowering the voting age to eighteen is a very stupid idea.
