— The first Catholic Mass in Geneva’s cathedral since the Reformation
takes place at the end of this month and Protestants have been invited
to attend and receive Holy Communion.
Moreover, although Catholic Church canon law does not permit
intercommunion, it is reportedly a common practice in Geneva, according
to Swiss Protestant news agency Protestinfo.
Fr. Pascal Desthieux, Catholic episcopal vicar for the canton of
Geneva, will say Mass in Saint-Pierre Reformed Protestant Cathedral at
6:30 p.m. on February 29, at the invitation of the Protestant
cathedral’s parish council.

Add this to the pile of reasons why the Orthodox cannot contemplate reunion with the Roman Catholics.
Well, I believe Khomyakov said that the pope is the first Protestant.
