The older I get the more frustrated I get with the "kumbaya principle:" the idea that truth doesn't matter and we should all come together in some squishy, feel-good "unity" that is ultimately meaningless.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised living in a culture that thinks "Imagine" by John Lennon is profound.
