Tragedy in New York

As anyone who has been near a TV knows, a small plane crashed into a high rise condominium building in New York City today. Although many for understandable reasons feared terrorism at first, it quickly has become more likely that this was a tragic accident. Now reports have been broadcast that the plane was owned by New York Yankees relief pitcher Cory Lidle. Although his fate has not been confirmed it certainly does not look good at this point. This is obviously a terrible loss for his family and loved ones as also for the Yankees and their fans. Prayers are asked for all those affected by today's sad events.

Update: At 1853 EST
It has been confirmed that Cory Lidle was on the plane and did not survive. One other person was also aboard and has perished. Memory Eternal!
