If you have tried to post a comment and gotten a message saying it's waiting for blog owner approval it is mostly likely because you are commenting on an older post.  In order to curb SPAM I have all posts older than ten days set for comment moderation.  If your moderated comment doesn't appear in a reasonable time frame then drop me a line by email.
